Bronze figure of a lictor (magistrate's attendant) wearing a toga and a wreath on his head. He carries laurel leaves in his right hand and in his left hand he carries the fasces, an axe bound to a bundle of rods.

- The symbol of the fasces originated with the Etruscans, the earliest being found an iron set in an Etruscan tomb of the 7th century BC at Vetulonia.
